Hi! Welcome to my website!
I am a historian and artist with interests in:

• Global Art History, including 15th to 20th C Painting, Architecture, and Sculpture
• History of Science, Medicine, and Technology
• Natural History
• Decorative Arts and Design
• History of World Ceramics and Ceramic Science
• History of Geology, Mineralogy, Stratigraphy and Study of the Earth's History
• History of Deep Time
These website pages explore a range of topics in history and art history, including the visual cultures of natural history, scientific networks, and global art and science. I've also shared some of the countless photographs I've taken over the course of my research.
Thanks for visiting!

I recently completed a doctoral thesis on the life and work of ceramist and natural historian Alexandre Brongniart at the University of Oxford. See more on the Project Page "Brongniart" by following the link below.
Other Projects
My upcoming research is on the lives of the members of Brongniart's early 19th C networks, as seen through their portraits. My work will focus on the painters and artisans themselves as well as their subjects. You can see some of this imagery here.
