• History of Geology, Mineralogy, Stratigraphy and Study of the Earth's History

These website pages explore a range of topics  in history and art history, including the visual cultures of natural history, scientific networks, and global art and science. I've also shared some of the countless photographs I've taken over the course of my research.

I recently completed a doctoral thesis on the life and work of ceramist and natural historian Alexandre Brongniart at the University of Oxford. See more on the Project Page "Brongniart" by following the link below.

Other Projects

My upcoming research is on the lives of the members of Brongniart's early 19th C networks, as seen through their portraits. My work will focus on the painters and artisans themselves as well as their subjects. You can see some of this imagery here.
